Band By Law Conference 2019
Band Bylaw Conference “Community Justice & Capacity Building” to be held at the Chelsea Hotel in Toronto, ON February 27-28, 2019.
At the conference, delegates should expect to learn about traditional justice systems in use in the Nishnawbe-Aski Nation territories. They should also expect to engage in valuable discussions about intoxicants in their communities in 2019 and how these issues can be overcome. This conference is an opportunity to learn about and discuss how the legalization of marijuana will affect your community and what you can do about it. Other topics include opioids, Indian Act Bylaws, Indigenous Legal Traditions, how to effective advocate for funding and more.
The registration deadline is January 11, 2019.
